Functionalized Polyoxometalates Showing Optical or Magnetic Properties

16/05/2013 - J.D. Compain (DCM, UJF, Grenoble)

Polyoxometalates (POMs) are soluble, molecular metal-oxygen clusters, which have been attracting increasing interest due to their original architectures and various physical or chemical properties. This talk will introduce some POMs recently synthesized, either under usual bench conditions or hydrothermal conditions, for applications covering primarily two domains: molecular magnetism (single-molecule magnets...) and optics (NLO, photochromism).
